The Works of Alecia Shepherd

Welcome!

Alecia Shepherd is a remarkable and inspirational woman: a survivor of literally decades of horrible physical and psychological abuse, and a warrior against a combination of disabilities coupled with a rare blood disease. She is an overcomer, as she says,"...by the mercy, grace, love and will of Jesus the Christ alone..." In spite of the pain she deals with, she has chosen to dedicate what is left of her life to the help and education of others through her wonderful talents as a creative and sociological writer, poet, singer, composer, musician, artist, computer programmer, graphics designer and so much more.

This website is her heart’s desire; a far-reaching means by whoch to share all of the creations with which God the Father has blessed her.

Her music is mostly instrumental and electronica yet deeply emotional, powerful, at times dark and shocking, yet never loses sight of an intriguing sense of hope that keeps you eagerly listening for each new measure and movement. This same hope that uplifts you and surrounds you with a kind of safety and love that is just inexplicable, eminates from Alecia to just about anyone who spends time with her personally.

Her poetry is powerful, sometimes vivid, depicting pain and suffering, and on rare occasions, joy. Her Chapbook of poetry, "Heart of the Grey Monarch," reflects her life of facing and overcoming a terrible many of the most horiffic scenes people wish to have no part of. Her poems prove that strength can be found in the weakest people and times, and that even the deepest darkness cannot snuff out the light of the spirit.

Her art captures beauty and feeling in lovely, realistic visitations comprised of an array of media combinations and subject matter.

Her heart touches everyone around her with its limitless desire to love, nurture and educate, to support and encourage with such a genuine and pure goal of seeing the lives of others improved, enriched, while most of the time disregarding her personal gain and needs.

"I hope you enjoy my website. It represents most of my lifetime of creative works. I know you will find something
here that soothes and comforts, challenges and improves, or restores joy and hope to your walk in life. Even hard times do not make or break us, they reveal us. When we see ourselves in this challenging reflection we either crumple it and try to bury it - like planting a seed in our souls that inevitably grows into destructive roots and vines of bitterness and fear - or we stay and are required to confront the hidden parts of ourselves for the purpose of changing and maturing." - Alecia Shepherd
