Alecia Shepherd is a remarkable and inspirational woman,
a survivor of horrible physical and psychological abuse and
a survivor of a combination of disabilities and a rare blood
disease. She is an overcomer, and, in spite of the pain
she has been dealt, has chosen to dedicate her life to the
help and education of others. This is her heart’s desire.
Her music is emotional, powerful, at times dark and
astounding, but always laced with a glimmer of
hope that keeps you eagerly listening for each new
movement.

Alecia Shepherd was born in Kentucky into a very difficult, lonely and painful life. She was molested for most of her youth by her father, then later, her step-father in her mother's second marriage. After countless suicide attempts, she finally determined to live and help people.
That has been the goal of her entire life since. Those who are close to her today testify to her great heart of unconditional love for everyone and her drive to assure she does all that she can in the time she has remaining to help as many people as possible. Her desire is to help people understand humanity and its shared suffering better than before, and with hope, eradicate hatred and prejudice linguistically as well as spiritually throughout all cultures.
Alecia is currently residing in Minnesota where she authors music, poetry, social articles, and produces gorgeous artwork. She suffers constant chronic health problems and severe pain, and has a rare blood clotting disorder among other disabilities that threaten to take her from this world without notice.
She courageously and faithfully gives every day she receives towards spreading compassion and care to everyone she reaches to influence.
Her poetry in "Heart of the Gray Monarch" gives incredible sympathy and love, hope and understanding, and fights against overwhelming pain and depression.
